Dr. Sameer Parmar is a specialist in Shockwave Lithotripsy (SWL) with more than two decades of experience in urolithiasis, clinical applications, and lithotripsy education.
Throughout his career, he has focused on improving the practical delivery of SWL through better patient selection, imaging, treatment planning, shockwave delivery, personalised treatment protocols, and operator training.
As Founder and Course Director of Lithotripsy Academy, Dr. Parmar leads the development of its educational programs with a clear objective: to bridge the gap between scientific evidence, lithotripter technology, and what actually happens during an SWL treatment.
His particular interests include personalised SWL protocols, ultrasound-guided lithotripsy, optimisation of shockwave delivery, treatment of complex and special patient groups, and the integration of new technologies into modern lithotripsy practice.
He currently serves as Clinical Application Manager at STORZ MEDICAL AG and is actively involved in international education and training in Shockwave Lithotripsy.
