31. Global SWL Center Directory and Registration Conditions

Applicable to: Lithotripsy Academy Global Shock Wave Lithotripsy (SWL) Center Directory

Operated by: The Medical Design Studio Pvt. Ltd., Thane, Maharashtra, India.

These conditions supplement the general Lithotripsy Academy Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. They apply to individuals, healthcare institutions, clinics, hospitals, distributors, and authorized representatives who register, manage, or submit information about SWL centers through the Lithotripsy Academy platform.

By submitting a center registration, the applicant agrees to the following conditions.

31.1 Purpose of the Global SWL Center Directory

The Lithotripsy Academy Global SWL Center Directory is an educational and informational initiative intended to improve the visibility of centers providing shock wave lithotripsy services, facilitate access to information, and encourage professional education and knowledge sharing.

Inclusion in the directory does not constitute clinical accreditation, regulatory approval, endorsement of treatment quality, or verification of clinical outcomes by Lithotripsy Academy.

31.2 Eligibility and Authorization

The person submitting a registration confirms that:

  • They are authorized to submit information about the center or have an appropriate basis for doing so.
  • The information provided is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge.
  • The center provides SWL services or is being registered under an applicable Academy-approved category.
  • They will notify Lithotripsy Academy of material changes affecting the center’s information or operational status.

Lithotripsy Academy reserves the right to request additional information or supporting documentation before approving a registration.

Registration does not guarantee publication in the directory.

31.3 Registration, Verification and Publication

Submitted registrations may undergo email verification, administrative review, and center verification.

Following approval, eligible center information may be published in the Global SWL Center Directory and displayed on the public SWL Access Map.

Publicly displayed information may include:

  • Center name and location.
  • City, state and country.
  • Publicly designated contact information.
  • Lithotripter manufacturer and model.
  • Available SWL services and targeting technologies.
  • Registration and verification status.
  • Other center information approved for publication.

Private administrative information, account credentials, internal verification records, and personal contact details not designated for public display will not be intentionally published.

Lithotripsy Academy may decline, correct, suspend, or remove a listing where information is inaccurate, outdated, misleading, unauthorized, or inconsistent with these conditions.

31.4 Registration Records and Historical Database

Lithotripsy Academy maintains registration records for directory administration, verification, historical reporting, and legitimate recordkeeping purposes.

A center’s withdrawal from the public directory does not necessarily require deletion of its historical organizational registration record.

Historical records may include the center’s name, location, registration identifier, registration dates, and historical status, to the extent that their retention is lawful and necessary.

Personal information associated with historical records will be deleted, anonymized, or retained according to applicable data protection laws, documented retention requirements, and the Lithotripsy Academy Privacy Policy.

Withdrawn, closed, or inactive centers will not be represented as currently active participants.

Lithotripsy Academy may publish aggregate statistics, including total historical registrations and currently active centers, provided that such reporting is accurate and appropriately distinguishes these categories.

31.5 Account Deletion and Center Ownership

A center registration record is maintained separately from the personal user account through which the registration was submitted.

Deletion of a user’s Lithotripsy Academy account does not automatically delete the associated center’s organizational registration record.

Where the registered representative deletes their account, leaves the institution, or is no longer authorized to manage the center, Lithotripsy Academy may suspend administrative access or temporarily archive the center listing pending verification.

Another authorized representative may request transfer of administrative responsibility, subject to verification and Academy approval.

Personal data deletion requests will be assessed and processed according to applicable law and the Privacy Policy.

31.6 Educational Benefits

Eligible registered centers may receive educational benefits offered by Lithotripsy Academy.

These may include a discount of 25% to 100% on one designated educational course, subject to eligibility criteria, geographical considerations, available programs, and Academy approval.

The educational benefit is not automatically guaranteed by registration.

The registered center may nominate an eligible learner or designate its authorized representative to participate in the approved course.

Unless expressly permitted by Lithotripsy Academy, educational benefits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Lithotripsy Academy may modify or discontinue future educational offers. Benefits already granted will remain subject to their applicable offer conditions.

31.7 Educational Course Completion and Certificate Eligibility

Approval and publication of a center in the Global SWL Center Directory do not automatically entitle the center to a registration certificate.

Where a designated educational course is required, the nominated learner must successfully complete that course and satisfy the applicable educational requirements.

Following verification of course completion and other relevant registration requirements, the center may become eligible for a Lithotripsy Academy Center Certificate of Acknowledgement.

Certificate issuance remains subject to Academy verification and administrative approval.

The Academy may request additional information before issuing a certificate.

31.8 Certificate Validity

A Lithotripsy Academy SWL Center Certificate of Acknowledgement is valid for three (3) years from its date of issuance, unless suspended or revoked earlier.

The certificate may include:

  • Center name and location.
  • Unique registration identifier.
  • Certificate issue date.
  • Certificate expiry date.
  • Verification information or QR code.

The certificate acknowledges participation in the Academy’s registration and educational program.

It does not certify the center’s clinical competence, treatment success rates, equipment safety, regulatory compliance, or quality of patient care.

Renewal after the validity period may require updated center information, verification of operational status, and satisfaction of the educational requirements applicable at the time of renewal.

Renewal is not automatic unless expressly confirmed by Lithotripsy Academy.

31.9 Certificate Use, Verification and Revocation

A center may display or share its valid certificate for informational purposes, provided that it is presented accurately and without modification or misleading claims.

Certificates must not be used to suggest clinical accreditation, regulatory approval, or endorsement of clinical outcomes.

Lithotripsy Academy may suspend or revoke a certificate where:

  • Registration information is materially inaccurate or misleading.
  • The certificate has been altered or misused.
  • Required educational conditions were not fulfilled.
  • The center has ceased providing the relevant services.
  • Serious concerns arise regarding the legitimacy of the registration or certificate.

Where reasonably appropriate, the Academy will provide the center an opportunity to clarify or correct the matter before a final decision.

Certificate verification services may display the current certificate status, including valid, expired, suspended, or revoked.

31.10 Center Information Updates and Renewal

Registered centers are encouraged to maintain accurate and current information.

Lithotripsy Academy may periodically request confirmation of center details, operational status, equipment information, and authorized representatives.

Failure to respond to reasonable verification requests may result in a listing being marked unverified or temporarily suspended.

Historical registration information may be retained in accordance with Section 31.4 and applicable law.

31.11 Clinical Outcomes and Educational Contributions

Lithotripsy Academy encourages registered centers to contribute to professional education through clinical case discussions, treatment experiences, scientific observations, and appropriately reported clinical outcomes.

Centers may share educational contributions by submitting material directly to Lithotripsy Academy or by publishing suitable professional content on social media and tagging Lithotripsy Academy.

Participation in clinical knowledge sharing is voluntary unless expressly required by a separately accepted program.

Centers remain responsible for ensuring that shared information complies with applicable patient confidentiality, privacy, professional, ethical, and institutional requirements.

Patient-identifiable information must not be submitted through ordinary Academy case-sharing channels.

Where publication requires patient consent, institutional authorization, or another lawful basis, the submitting center is responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions.

Lithotripsy Academy may review, decline, request modification of, or remove submitted educational material.

The Academy is not obligated to publish or promote every submission.

31.12 Center Recognition and Educational Features

Lithotripsy Academy may recognize centers that actively contribute to professional education, clinical knowledge sharing, and Academy initiatives.

Recognition may include:

  • Featured center profiles.
  • Educational case highlights.
  • Acknowledgement of contributions.
  • Participation in Academy educational activities.

Recognition is subject to Academy review and applicable published criteria.

Such recognition does not constitute independent clinical accreditation or verification of treatment outcomes.

Lithotripsy Academy may modify, suspend, or discontinue recognition programs.

31.13 Withdrawal, Suspension and Closure

A registered center or its verified authorized representative may request withdrawal from the public directory.

Following verification of the request, Lithotripsy Academy will remove or deactivate the public listing within a reasonable period, subject to applicable legal obligations.

Withdrawal may affect associated educational benefits, public recognition, and certificate eligibility or status.

A center that permanently ceases SWL operations may be classified as closed or inactive.

Historical organizational registration records may be retained where lawful, while personal information will be handled according to applicable data protection requirements.

31.14 Data Protection and Privacy

Personal information collected through SWL Center Registration is processed in accordance with the Lithotripsy Academy Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

Information may be processed for registration administration, verification, directory publication, educational benefit management, certificate issuance, security, and related legitimate purposes, subject to an appropriate legal basis.

Personal data will not be retained indefinitely merely because a center was previously registered.

Individuals may exercise applicable privacy rights, including requests for access, correction, withdrawal of consent where applicable, and deletion of personal information.

The Privacy Policy provides further information about data processing, retention, international transfers, and privacy-related contact procedures.

31.15 Limitation of Responsibility

Lithotripsy Academy provides the Global SWL Center Directory as an informational and educational service.

The Academy does not guarantee the availability, suitability, clinical competence, treatment outcomes, or regulatory compliance of any listed center.

Patients and healthcare professionals remain responsible for making appropriate healthcare decisions and verifying relevant information independently.

Nothing in these conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

31.16 Changes to Registration Conditions

Lithotripsy Academy may revise these registration conditions to reflect changes in its services, educational programs, administrative procedures, or applicable legal requirements.

Material changes affecting existing registrations will be communicated where required or reasonably appropriate.

Where applicable law or the nature of the changes requires renewed agreement, the Academy will request fresh acceptance.
