Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, withdrawal requests, and access changes are handled for purchases made through Lithotripsy Academy.

Because these products are delivered digitally, access may begin immediately after successful payment.

2. Educational Purpose

All Lithotripsy Academy content is provided for educational and informational purposes only.

The purchase of a course, certificate program, or digital product does not guarantee:

  • Clinical competence
  • Professional qualification
  • Employment
  • Hospital authorization
  • Regulatory approval
  • Procedural privilege
  • Acceptance by any professional body
  • A specific clinical outcome

Refunds will not be issued because a learner disagrees with the educational interpretation, expected a different clinical recommendation, or later decides that the content does not replace local institutional training or clinical judgment.

3. General Refund Position

Due to the digital nature of our courses and learning materials, refunds may be limited once access has started.

A refund may not be available if:

  • The course has been accessed
  • Lessons have been started
  • Videos have been viewed
  • PDFs or resources have been downloaded
  • Quizzes or assessments have been attempted
  • A certificate has been generated
  • A substantial part of the course has been consumed
  • The purchase was made using a promotional or discounted offer marked as non-refundable
  • The access period has already expired
  • The user violated our Terms & Conditions

However, we will review refund requests fairly and in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.

4. Refund Request Window

Unless a different refund period is clearly stated on the course page or checkout page, refund requests should be submitted within:

  • 14 days from the date of purchase

A refund request submitted after this period may be rejected unless required by applicable law or approved at our discretion.

Submitting a refund request does not automatically guarantee approval.

5. Digital Content Access and Refund Eligibility

If you purchase a digital course or digital product and receive immediate access, your refund eligibility may be affected once you start using the content.

Use of digital content may include:

  • Opening a lesson
  • Watching a video
  • Downloading materials
  • Starting a quiz
  • Submitting an assessment
  • Generating a certificate
  • Accessing protected course resources

Where applicable law permits, refunds may be refused after digital content access has begun, especially if you agreed at checkout to immediate access and acknowledged that this may affect your withdrawal rights.

6. EU and Consumer Withdrawal Rights

If you are a consumer located in the European Union or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer withdrawal rights, you may have a legal right to withdraw from an online purchase within a defined period.

Under EU consumer rules, consumers generally have a 14-day cooling-off period for distance purchases. For digital content not supplied on a physical medium, the right of withdrawal may be lost once performance begins, if the consumer has given prior express consent and acknowledged that the withdrawal right will be lost as a result.

7. Cancellation Before Access Begins

If you purchase a course or digital product but have not accessed, opened, downloaded, viewed, or used the content, you may request cancellation.

If the request is made within the applicable refund window and no access has started, we may approve a refund, subject to payment processing rules and applicable law.

8. Cancellation After Access Begins

If you have accessed the course or digital product, cancellation may not result in a refund.

This applies especially where you have:

  • Started the course
  • Viewed lessons
  • Downloaded materials
  • Attempted quizzes
  • Used course tools
  • Generated a certificate
  • Consumed a significant portion of the content

In some cases, we may offer partial refund, course credit, or alternative access at our discretion, but we are not required to do so unless required by applicable law.

9. Subscription Cancellation

If Lithotripsy Academy offers subscription-based access, you may cancel your subscription according to the subscription terms shown at the time of purchase.

Unless stated otherwise:

  • Cancellation stops future renewal charges.
  • Cancellation does not automatically refund previous payments.
  • Access may continue until the end of the current paid subscription period.

After the subscription period ends, access to subscription-only courses or materials may stop.

If a free trial is offered, the terms of the free trial will be stated separately.

10. Course Bundle Cancellation

If you purchase a bundle of courses, refund eligibility will be assessed based on the bundle as a whole.

A refund may be refused or reduced if:

  • One or more courses in the bundle have been accessed
  • Materials from any course in the bundle have been downloaded
  • A certificate has been generated
  • Bundle pricing was provided as a discounted package
  • The bundle was marked as non-refundable

Partial refunds for bundles are not guaranteed.

11. Certification Program Cancellation

Certification programs may include structured lessons, assessments, quizzes, certificates, verification features, and time-limited access.

Refunds for certification programs may be refused if:

  • The learner has started the program
  • Any assessment has been attempted
  • Certificate eligibility has been triggered
  • A certificate has been issued
  • Verification records have been created
  • The learner has violated program rules

A certificate does not guarantee professional license, hospital privilege, employment, or regulatory approval.

12. Downloadable Materials

Refunds are generally not available for standalone downloadable materials once the file has been downloaded or access has been provided.

Downloadable materials may include:

  • PDFs
  • Checklists
  • Patient handouts
  • Protocol previews
  • Templates
  • Reference guides
  • Educational summaries

This is because digital files can be copied, stored, or reused immediately after download.

13. Duplicate Purchases

If you accidentally purchase the same course or product more than once using the same account or same email address, please contact us.

We may issue a refund for the duplicate transaction if:

  • The duplicate purchase is confirmed
  • The refund request is made promptly
  • The duplicate access has not been used separately
  • The payment processor allows refund processing

14. Technical Problems

If you experience a technical issue that prevents access to a purchased course, please contact support before requesting a refund.

We will first attempt to resolve the issue.

Technical problems may include:

  • Video playback issue

16. Course Not Meeting Expectations

Refunds may not be granted simply because:

  • The course was more advanced than expected
  • The learner expected personal medical advice
  • The learner expected device-specific training not mentioned in the course description
  • The learner expected formal professional accreditation not promised on the course page
  • The learner did not complete the course
  • The learner changed professional plans

17. Promotional Offers and Discounted Purchases

Courses purchased during promotional campaigns, launch offers, discount periods, coupon campaigns, or special pricing events may have specific refund conditions.

If a course or bundle is marked as non-refundable or final sale at the time of purchase, refund eligibility may be limited unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively to previous purchases.

18. Payment Gateway and Processing Fees

From 19 June 2026, EU rules introduce an online withdrawal function requirement for certain online consumer contracts, meaning businesses that allow consumers to conclude contracts online may also need to allow withdrawal through an online interface.

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us, your account access may be temporarily suspended while the matter is investigated.

If a chargeback is found to be fraudulent or inconsistent with course access records, we may:

  • Restrict future purchases
  • Provide evidence to the payment processor

25. Account Sharing and Misuse

Refunds will not be provided if access is suspended or terminated due to misuse of the platform.
